Project Description
Overview
The vision of the Evangelism and Missions Sub-Ministry is to have all the believers in the church to make evangelism and disciple-making a lifestyle. The mission of the ministry is to mobilize and equip the LIC family to be actively involved in evangelism and disciple-making beginning from our Jerusalem, and to the “outermost parts of the earth.
The objectives of the Evangelism and Missions Sub-Ministry are to:
- mobilize and equip members of LIC for evangelism and disciple-making in the Legon community and beyond.
- reach out to fresh students/lecturers on campus and help them to grow to maturity in Christ.
- disciple new converts in the congregation and the Legon community, and to see them grow to maturity.
- mobilize members of the congregation to undertake missions work (local, distant, and foreign) and do whatever it takes to have an effective mission (for example projects that will help the people support themselves).
- support and strengthen young churches to grow to maturity in Christ. This may involve helping young Churches to put structures and systems in place that will help them to grow to maturity and exhibit godly characteristics.
- reach-out to inmates of reform and care-giving institutions as well as selected Senior High Schools and help them to grow to maturity in Christ. and
- organize prayer support for evangelism and missions work at LIC and beyond.
